@susiemc mentioned she hadn't seen much of Tilly and Rowdy recently so here they are on Valentine's Day. Rowdy is all grown up (he'll be two on about 1 July) but is still very naughty whereas Tilly is still an absolute angel!
So difficult to get them to sit in a position where Rowdy is exposed correctly and Tilly isn't over-exposed - should have got two dogs the same colour!!! Any tips would be much appreciated.
P.S. This is the place I took my Flash of Red photo for the 14th.
Thank you Nick, this is gorgeous. How can you possibly expect us to believe that Rowdy is naughty! No way! They both look as if butter wouldn’t melt in their mouths 😁😁.
@Weezilou Thanks Louise. @julzmaioro Thanks Julia but, believe me, he is a real pain but we still love him! This was taken at sunset and had lovely colours and lighting but I've had to bring the light up so much to get any of Rowdy's features to show that the colours looked really odd so I changed it to sepia. @dide I agree Dianne, it's terribly difficult to get any details in the faces of black animals and it didn't help that the sun was behind him! @rickster549 Thanks Rick. Luckily I can get them to sit for a little while without treats (like on this occasion) but longer with some. @henrir Thanks Henri - I had to adjust the lighting a lot so Tilly's a bit blown out. @paul10 Thanks Paul - they're like kids... lovely when they're sleeping ;) @susiemc Looks can be deceiving Sue, lol!
@joysabin Thanks Joy and thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately I don't have access to any software that does that sort of thing... and I wouldn't know how to do it anyway ;) That's probably my problem - I shoot in jpegs so have to try and get it as right as possible just using the camera. My camera does have a bracketing setting - is that the same sort of thing? But would I then have to try and get the dogs to stay completely still so avoid any blurring?
