This lovely lady Chelsea Pensioner was enjoying a look around the Chelsea Flower Show on Thursday and seemed astonished that I should want to take her picture. "Who? me?"
Isn't she wonderful?
Women were not admitted to the Royal Hospital, Chelsea until 2009, which was established in 1682 by King Charles II to provide soldiers with a fitting home in their retirement.
If you don't know much about the Royal Hospital check it out here, and marvel at a generation:
Not for long, which was a shame, I was in a hurry, she seemed so surprised that I wanted her picture, but we did that very British thing of chatting about the weather, and saying "oh this is nice!" @paul2782
@paul2782 haha!! They were celebrities all over the show ground, it was funny that the men enjoyed a bit of flirtatious banter with the flower show visitors but this lovely Pensioner seemed a bit shy!
