This black and white stuff is becoming addictive! I really really really planned to seek out some colour today... but this just screamed for black and white and that's all she wrote!
Thank you, as always, for all the views, comments and faves... :)
@cromwell well - if you'd told me three months ago what my photos would look like today i'd've thought you were funnin' me - so who knows? ;p but since my early photog loves were ansel adams and doisneau, and my college room posters (over 20 years ago now - gulp) were inevitably b&w - it's a good possibility!
Lovely tones in this show and grate timing placing the walker in the corner emphasises the tilt. There's some shots that are allot better B&W than colour and i cam imagine this being one.
This one is really nice, and strength of the photo is on the pattern of the lines. But if it's me, I would cut the top by about 1/5th. Probably at the point where the white and black meet on the top left, or just above it. IMO, this will pull the focus of attention to the man.
@nod hmmm... interesting you say that... i do see what you mean... i tend to struggle with balancing the surroundings / architecture with the humans... i inevitably end up on the side of the architecture... you're not the first one to point this out and clearly i need to think about this a bit more... tx!!!!
