can we talk? by northy

can we talk?

I have been sitting on this photo, along with the campanion piece in my other album, for almost a month now... for some reason I can't quite articulate, I've been reluctant to post it... i think maybe because it feels a little bit like a "gotcha" shot, which is not really my thang...

The story is this... A couple weeks before this photo was taken, I was in the 7th floor office of a colleague... there's construction going on across the street and when the crane swung around, it felt like it was close enough to hit the window! So when I had to go back to her office for a meeting, I brought my camera and took a photo which i posted on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/northy44/7713525728/in/photostream

But then, these two dudes decide to take a break, and, well... I had my camera in my hand and...

The other shot is here: http://365project.org/northy/just-because

As always, thank you so much for the views and lovely comments... it really does serve as wonderful encouragement!

Definitely a back story that the photo hints at. . .but it's all up to our imagination. Very well seen and shot.

Very candid moment here Northy, like your processing too - what brave souls to be up there in the first place!

Its great, doing that must be quite stressful and a chat might help break the tension!

It does look like we are eavesdropping on an intimate conversation. Well done for setting the stage to take my mind there.

I love it, nice shot.

I like it...doesn't really feel intrusive to me. The guy on the right looks to be saying "damn this thing is high" The other dude..."yeah don't look down." They are brave to be up there, not something I would be able to do.

It's probably the architect and one of the builders! The one without a shirt is the worker!

Love the stance of the men - reminds me a bit of that iconic NYC shot with the guys sitting on the beam ... Do you know which one I mean?

I'm liking all the lines in this, and those guys seem to be very relaxed considering they are 7 stories above ground

I like this! A little perfect spot of privacy in full view of everyone! Great lines, interesting composition. 8)
