OMG - I am in SUCH a funk... nothing is turning out these days... i've had a bunch of shots end up totally out of focus for no discernible reason... i've messed up some prime opportunities... and I'm beyond frustrated... Need to go back to basics and ramp up again... aaaaaarrgghhhhh!

I feel better with this. I have had similar issues, leaving some great shots on the cutting room floor. I know I get ahead of myself, and lose focus (figuratively). I know it sucks missing great shots, but you are not alone.
I still think it's cool. I'm in a funk, too. I'll admit it, I don't love film. I'm trying to do film all month to really make me slow down and get THE shot out of the camera. I feel like I'm just taking snapshots. A whole friggin month of snapshots!
@cmc1200 i had a surfeit of snapshots over the weekend as i was at a famly reunion of sorts... part of my difficulty with this week is i'm trying to sort thru them all, crop and edit as needed, and get out to the family... all that teethbrushing in PSE is aggravating me carpal tunnel!
i'm still really feeling my way with the film camera... trying to take different things (rather than 10 shots of the same thing) because i just don't know what will work and what won't, or how the thing reads light...
This is a fabulous pic. We all have funks. I wish my funks looked as good as yours! Someone once told me, take one shot at a time...and don't worry about the shots before it.
Wish my bad funk shots turned out this well...... You are in good company, although that's no consolation to you :( I like the moody and dark feel to this though.....
As others have said it happens to all of us. I have just come out of mine in the last week or so, you will crawl out just fine, you know your work rocks sista.

@russianblue srsly? i carry my dslr and no one on the ttc has stopped me or even glanced my way... not once... not ever... (and now i am going to KNOCK on WOOD for fear of having jinxed myself)... the ttc bylaws specifically state that you can't take pictures for commercial purposes without permission... but state nothing about for fun or art... besides... in the grand scheme of nuisances in the big TO, i'm pretty sure i'm a non-entity ;p
