This would be Toronto City Hall... the garbage cans were an eyesore so i PSE'd 'em into oblivion... I find this structure to be a pain in the a$$ to shoot... this is a tiny crop of a much larger image...
This is for architecture week for the flash-o-red challenge set by @olivetreeann - a month of black and white with a spot of red on the 14th...
@cromwell do NOT get me started... srsly... if your comment was rhetorical, lemme just say that you're opening a can of worms... if it was based on some knowledge of our mayor, than i am appalled to think that he's rec'd press coverage that far south... shudder...
Some people just do not see their garbage cans - I suggested to a newly opened restaurant that they remove the huge green garbage bin from beside the door!! This must be a gigantic structure - good to see part of it!
@northy -- I have no political knowledge of the goings on in your neck of the woods. I live by the theory that ALL politicians are lying scumbags. I have yet to be disappointed.
I like this. I never know how to photography architecture when I can't fi tit all in. I like this. I like that you are getting it straight-on, so no distortion. Great job with those garbage cans.
Nice executive decision to remove all the trash cans.. love it! :) You did a super cropping here :) Love the comment back at Cromwell.... had to giggle :) Super shot my dear ;)
I really like that building (coincidentally it's designed by a Finn) and yes it is a pain to shoot... almost as painful as the gargoyles on the next block :-)
If I had to date that building just by looking at this photo, I'd say mid to late 60's. And lo, I googled, and I was right (I did not know anything about the building beforehand). You captured the very 60's feel of the view perfectly!
@binny not to mention hydro and trolley wires... yeesh!
