OMG! went to a power yoga class for the first time in almost a year... i expect i won't be able to get out of bed tomorrow morning... ;p
I don't know why i keep doing these abstracty shots... i'm not an abstract kinda gal... but i like light and dark and there's been no real light to speak of recently and the weather has been miserable so this other stuff just keeps happening... i am determined to take my camera out for walkies tomorrow...
Seems to me that even if you're not an abstract kinda gal, you excel at abstracts. This is beautiful, and since the tags tell me what it is, I feel it's also very appropriate. Calm. Zen. :)
I like abstracts sometimes- they can be simple and soothing to the eye- all superfluous details stripped away and cut to heart of the matter- here just light, shade, and texture. Like it!
The light at the left almost looks like water vapor rising. I like a good abstract like this. Ultimately, everything is "abstract"; we make it "concrete" by forcing it into our own frame of reference and learned perceptions.
hey you! I suppose it had to happen sooner or later...us being paired for get pushed! I'm going to be slightly kind to you this week and not make you do a "bright as you can colour shot"...but i'll keep you in line with the b&w month...only I want you to take a black and white panning shot and process INVERSE ie blacks are whites and whites are blacks. I've been trying to work out whether there is a negative filter in camera on a Canon, but I don't have one so probably more of an editing challenge for you as well as camera challenge. Hope that works for you...if not give me a shout and I'll think up something else
@sparkle ooooh! interesting! my panning skills are sorely lacking and could definitely use the work-out... as for inverting - think of the fun i could have with this... tx :D
@roadshow you could just, you know, take a nap? ba haa haaaaaa! yeah - namaste... i suck at the namaste part... but i am convinced it is good for me :) tx!!
You have such an eye that I just like seeing what you come up with. The textures and lighting are wonderful in such a simple photograph it works well!! So how did you do the next day???hehe More power to ya!
@sistawood not too too badly.. altho' sunday morning i fell while out walking and really hurt myself and then wasn't sure which aches were from the fall and which from yoga... but i'm much better today, so it's all good :)
@northy sorry about the fall :( Glad you're feeling better today!! I'm a runner and thought about doing some yoga myself ... I don't know ... we'll see ..hehe :)
I think it's the focus on b&w - it makes you look at shapes and patterns much more - or it does with me.
Namaste hahaha
And the best part of yoga is the little nap-py thing at the end. I will endure for the little nap-py thing
