Back to black... kinda like photographic comfort food for me ;p
Just so we're clear, i absolutely welcome constructive criticism... feel free to let me know what you think could be improved in my photos or what you might try to do differently...
Is this a man? Well you would know - he probably walked past you! The shape of him is good and i do like the traffic cone too - in B&W it is not so glaring!
@still_beachradish@archaeofrog@maggiemae ok - i am pretty sure it was a man! he passed me and was headed into the light... and i held my breath waiting for him to cross onto the lit bit and hoping like heck that no one else would enter the frame ;p
Really like your extreme b&w -style. The slightly blurred figure is working very well for me. I feel the blackness on bottom is maybe a bit unnecessary but I loved how this shot looked as large as the black background looked awesome on the right side, emphasizing the tunnel feeling. So basically a landscape shot instead of portrait in my mind...
I too immediately thought "woman" as I sometimes find that extreme silhouette shots in a tunnel situation have a bit of an intimidating or creepy feel to them. But not this one. Really well done.
If I were shooting this, I would have tried to preserve some of the detail in the blacks, or if I couldn't, I'd crop a significant amount of the 3x255 expanse. There is a little detail in the whites hiding, and I would have tried to work that. But perhaps I am not the one to comment. I am not a fan of extreme exposure, although many do find it attractive. Good shooting.
Tx!
