@mizhayz, my get pushed partner for this week, challenged me to shoot something in colour... and it occurred to me that it might be interesting to see whether it would be possible to do a "creeping dark" shot in colour...
this was processed in lightroom... i am still trying to get the hang of using the sliders for point (as opposed to global) fixes... I think there is too much blue, but couldn't figure out how to reduce it in some parts but not others... on the flip side, those funky yellow, green and blue tones around the edges just sorta happened... anyhoo, i am not entirely unhappy with this and given the right conditions, i might try something like it again... lemme know what ya'all think!
@mizhayz - colour :) not the type of urban / street shot i would normally do - so thanks for the push! i might try another one of these later in the week if i have time...
Yep, red riding is in da hood again! I quite like it actually northy, I am now getting more curious by the minute about how your others might look in colour. If this is any indicator, pretty darn well I'd say!
Great pop of Red. The frame of the black works nicely here with the detail in the lighted parts. I find that it is often easiest to remove a blue cast with a custom white balance adjustment, just a few degrees to the right.
Awesome blue tones and pop of red, really like this a lot. I might have been inclined to crop off some of the bottom though, just before where the blue starts.
To reduce the blue in a certain portion, you could use a graduated filter or spot filter and desaturate. I don't think you can reduce individual colours in a filter but a little bit of desaturation may get the effect you are after.
I like the blue too. :)
