The song popped into my mind when i saw this scene and it's been there ever since... anyone else remember Supertramp? am I dating myself here?

Certainly the culture nowdays with computers and a business breakfast meeting. Like the soft processing!

sorry Jeff... i deleted the version you commented on as there was a dot in the corner that was driving me crazy and i wanted to clone out... i wonder if i might have overdone the editing resulting in the "creepiness" factor?

This is wonderful! For sure the breakfast of the now generation, laptops and coffee. I remember Supertramp and that song.
March 23rd, 2013
@northy actually I think its those eyebrows with that bald head and the very focused gaze of that one guy
March 23rd, 2013
I love Supertramp, have quite a few of their albums!!
It doesn't look canted to me, I think the angle of the partial floor mat in the foreground gives the illusion of changing the angle of the view.
That comment made a lot more sense in my head than it does in words...hope you get what I mean!!
I must be misinterpreting the rule of thirds, as I think this is a good example of using the thirds to compose the shot.
Love the light coming in the window. Hope those three are not e-mailing each other!!!!

@jsw0109 i think it's reading off his iphone ;p as i was leaving i contemplated taking a photo thru the window from the outside, but i had my morning frappa in one hand and a critical 9am mtg looming and thought i'd better not take the time///
March 23rd, 2013
@onie tx Leonie... i just think the face of the one guy that you can see is dead centre of the image ;p
March 23rd, 2013
Love the tones here, and like that they are in there own secret little place in more than one way, I so want to touch those noggins
Btw I don't thank for the contagious song stuck, I shouldn't have followed the link...I should know better
March 23rd, 2013
Fascinating and a bit eerie!
March 23rd, 2013
Very nice interpretation of the daily theme for ONS4. I like the processing and the story conveyed by the shot.
March 23rd, 2013
I think it's a great capture of the times. Great framing too.
March 23rd, 2013
Love the pov and processing. Perfect for American breakfast:)
March 23rd, 2013
Cool shot
March 23rd, 2013
Great shot, love the tones :)

This truly is the culture across the (North American) land! I know I can always depend on Starbucks for a good cup of coffee and a snack where ever I may be!
March 23rd, 2013
Fantastic shot. I love everything about it and wow does it speak to our culture these days.
March 23rd, 2013
i love the shot, love the pov. Its sad when you go out with 3 people and dont even look at each other.
March 23rd, 2013
What an awesome shot.
March 23rd, 2013
This reminds me of Matrix! I'm expecting a fight to break out at any moment. ;)
March 23rd, 2013
@russianblue srsly? matrix???? omg! now i'm going to be seeing alien conspiracies everywhere! bahaaaaa! thank you for that... this probably explains most of the last two weeks at work ;p
March 23rd, 2013
Great tones and mood. The lighting is pretty!
March 23rd, 2013
Oh I love this. Wonderful lighting and candid.
March 23rd, 2013
This is fantastic. Love your composition and I can see the Matrix comparison.
March 23rd, 2013
i love the mood :)
March 23rd, 2013
You're young yet...Supertramp were great...and this is definitely so common now!
March 23rd, 2013
I think your photography is just awesome!
Regarding Supertramp ... if you ever get the chance to see Roger Hodgson at Casino Rama ... GO!

Excellent perspective and conversion! Looks like you were playing "spy" :)
March 23rd, 2013
Love the edits, very cool effect. Terrific image!
March 23rd, 2013
Business breakfast, indeed. No time to just enjoy a cup of coffee, have to be effective and productive at the same time. That's the world today, yes. Great capture of it. And about the song - I definitely know it, but I'm sure I've only heard a more recent cover version of it by someone. But I think I ought to know Supertramp better, since I'm into the modern kind of prog rock & prog metal... I should know the classics.
March 23rd, 2013
Lovely shot. Fits the subject perfectly. I saw a similar possibility yesterday through the window of a coffee shop - three customers all looking at their phones. I considered taking a picture but I chickened out. I must get over my fear of being confronted.
March 23rd, 2013
Great shot - love the tones - is the art of conversation dead? Love the intense expression of the guy in the middle (is he reading an important report or just playing Angry Birds?). That tune is a blast from the past! : )
March 23rd, 2013
"Take a look at my girlfriend, she's the only one I got. Not much of a girlfriend, never seem to get a lot." Spookily...it fits the scene!
March 23rd, 2013
@dh just so you know, i have NEVER been confronted (knock wood!)... and if anyone asked, i was shooting the fabulous morning light beaming through the window...
March 23rd, 2013
This is terrific! I love the light that you were shooting because we all know you most definitely were NOT aiming your camera at these people! Haha! Fav!
March 23rd, 2013
Love the lightness of this. Feels very airy and slightly surreal.
March 23rd, 2013
Kind of makes me sad.... but those baldies are interesting, like clones :)
March 23rd, 2013
Oops I think I drew on my sisters album sleeve of this record. The light is fab. Shame they're probably missing it!
March 23rd, 2013
This was definitely something to be covered in ons4 cuisine & culture! Spot on!
March 23rd, 2013
Yeah I agree, the bald headed clone-like chaps make it slightly creepy. Although it is a great shot.
March 23rd, 2013
Wow, this is an ordinary breakfast crew yeah? It's amazing how you made this plain scene such a perfect representation of being American. Seriously, the angle is awesome. It seems you'll be monopolizing my fav album.
March 23rd, 2013
WOW!!! A really smart set up!!! Great shot!!!
March 23rd, 2013
I always dig on your processing, Northy! This is great!
March 23rd, 2013
great shot - love the B&W
March 23rd, 2013
I like these kind of spy shots.
March 24th, 2013
@michaelelliott i must be invisible then... honestly - i just stand there and shoot!
March 24th, 2013
Listening to the song while I type this. Great song :) haven't heard it in ages. Lovely light and an interesting scene very reminiscent of today's life.
March 24th, 2013
Great photo. Is Starbucks on of the crimes of century
March 24th, 2013
Cool processing
March 24th, 2013
Agree with much of what's been said. Excellent processing, comp and find. It's one of those gem candids :)
March 24th, 2013
Love this shot...!
March 24th, 2013
Wonderful candid xx
March 25th, 2013
I really like this candid shot, it has a bit of an early morning dreamy effect. I'll take some of that Starbucks.
March 25th, 2013
