can i tell you the story of this shot?
it was originally intended to be for the 5+2 weekly theme which this week is:
"Going Mad..... Haywire, mental, loony and nuts,
Freaking out, flying off the handle and flipping our lids. Whatever is driving you crazy..."
http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/19700/5-2-week-17-going-mad
however, it evolved... what's making me crazy is frustration with work... i've spent the last two weeks really upset and angry, and i was going to do an image attempting to depict that... but then a few things happened on hallowe'en...
(1) i bought myself these awesome red shoes (to cheer myself up - nothing like retail therapy ;p)
(2) people looked at those shoes and joked about clicking them together and saying "there's no place like home" which was really ironic, because i truly believe you can't go home again in the sense that everything changes... which made me think about my anger with work a bit differently, and
(3) one of my kids was telling me about two girls in his class who dressed up like Dorothy for hallowe'en and then he said: "maybe if we walk into a tornado we'll end up in a better place"
and so, the concept for this shot was born... there is no going back, only forward... and sometimes ya just gotta step into the unknown...
etsooi'd to the max in lightroom, nik silver fx, colour fx and PSE...
tx for all the lovely comments and favs on my mist of time shot from yesterday :)
