a compilation of some of my photos from 2013 - mostly in black and white...
hi! I'm northy and i'm an impatient perfectionist control freak... this is my 5th or 6th attempt at uploading to Youtube... the previous attempts had quality issues all of which i hope i have now addressed... ;p
thank you all to a wonderful 2013... i have learned so much from each and every one of you, and i expect i will continue to do so throughout 2014 as well :)
I first looked at the thumbnail and did not see this was a compilation until I looked again later on my phone. If anyone else makes the same mistake please view it in full - it is well worth it
This is a really great compilation of photos. I notice you spend a lot of time in train stations, and there is a travelling chess horse in your subject matter. Now I want to go view a lot of your photos individually. Thank you for sharing part of your life with us.
Oh, loved this! Everything went so well together - music and pics. You have such a great style. Since I'm back , I think I'll try to take a few more dark shots in my project this year as a tribute to you! ;)
What I love about this is how clearly your style comes through. I can pick your photos out of the feed, PP, and trending fairly accurately -- I really like your sense of design/composition/lighting a lot. This is a great compilation (did you use iMovie?).
@taffy tx Taffy... yup - iMovie it was... you were right - much more control than in iPhoto... the one thing i found frustrating is that all the youtube tutorials for using iMovie are for an older version... and it seems as tho the updated version of iMovie doesn't have some of the controls that used to be there (or i maybe i just can't find them)...
@northy That's why I'm headed to the apple store on Friday afternoon for a tutorial. The downsize of updating is that the whole program is sooo different than what I was used to. And I want to be able to adjust the time a photo is up, as well as align music. My end of year shots probably won't get posted for another few weeks, I suspect.
Your work and your distinctive northy style are wonderful and I love what you do. Thank you for all the support you give to all of us. Every time I see a 'no trespassing' sign, I think of you. xo
Excellent compillation of your work! I still remember the image I saw when I discovered your work and the discussion of the blown out view taken from the back of the train. I knew then that you knew your style and it's been amazing watching you fine tune it! Looking forward to seeing what you have in store this year!! :) fav
