actually, i did get some shots where the liquid *mostly* went into the glass, but they were lacking a certain something, and after an hour or so of this nonsense i've given up...
@bill_fe tx Bill... i used duct tape ;p the glass was taped to a cutting board that i propped up against a plastic cup... it's not quite as precarious as it sounds tho - there is a cut out in the board (for a handle) that kind of fit onto the edge of the cup...
@orangecrush - tx Jerry! the lighting was a bit of a pain... yes - a speed light - off the camera to the left (to avoid shadows)... and a soft box light with white poster cardboard clipped to it as the backdrop...
@bella_ss tx Sheralee - yes - quite messy... i think i used a full roll of paper towel and my hands were quite blue!
Aha! At least it was a learning experience and you certainly have an amazing photo to show for it! Must've had a bit of a clean up afterwards! Totally worth it for this amazing photo though! ;)
dollarama has cheap stemwares that are 'expensive' looking. those are for this kind of shots, the expensive stemwares you use for whatever they're supposed to be used for. :-P
