@joemuli tx :) mostly i am by myself... even if i were with someone, it would likely be Vikki (@summerfield) and she would be doing her own thing, not looking out for my stuff... for the above image, it was a wide open space with very few people around... there were a couple people with dogs, and someone on cross country skies, a jogger or two on the path, and that's it... all were quite a distance from me and no way was anyone going to be running on the ice... so i felt pretty sure my camera would be safe... my troll shot (posted Jan 21) was more risky - but it was taken at 7am on a Sunday in January - and there was no one about... :D

Thanks N- I live close by the beach but not everyone here are nice, they're targeting tourist and seniors- who loves to walk barefoot on the water and leave their shoes, sandals or towels on the side dunes and when they come back to same spots- their stuffs gone-! - police are patrolling the place occasionally but still not safe-that's why I carry and only used now my point and shoot nowadays cause of this---sad and sick society,I know-:( and its all because of drugs- and you ----be careful!

Superb Mira - the PoV makes for a very powerful dynamic in this image. Given that you don't like showing your face, how convenient that the lens flare obscures it completely... too convenient? A Fav for me whatever..
