fearful clarity

for week 38 of the Dogwood challenge - focus stacking... which i really can't see that i will ever have any use for (mind you - i once said that about the minivan ;p)... anyhoo, i personally think this is hideous... i tried playing around with light, but that just didn't seem to work with extreme dof... i also spent 10 minutes trying to clean up the specs of dust in PS - but then got bored and gave up...

this is 7 images taken with the macro lens and merged in PS... so... yah... focus stacking... done, partially dusted and moving on...

This is a good result and it's a useful technique to have in the back of your toolbox.
