there's this spot along University Avenue in Toronto near the U of T where there is a subway vent or something that periodically spews steam into the air... at night time, cars driving by light it up with their headlights and it's pretty darned eerie... one day i shall go back there with a tripod and some props because i think it could make for some interesting shots :)
@summerfield - this is at university and college... wanna go check it out one evening? i think we'd also have to take some light source with us because otherwise one is pretty much dependent on cars coming by on cue... really not sure how well staged shots would come out, but i do want to try it one of these days!
@northy - sure! i've seen one somewhere, too, but i wouldn't venture out on my own especially after dark. let me know. i have a tripod ensconced underneath my desk so anytime. i might have to check the source tomorrow for a big LED flashlight. i'll be sure to wear "the coat" and bring a hat. thanks!

@northy - i take the subway from union to york mills. then bus to home. when do you want to go? umbrella is good, i should remember to bring to work the red umbrella, except when it's windy. let me know when you want to go. monday? or you want sooner? maybe there'll be less people traffic on weekends but definitely less people traffic at night. just say when, if i'm still alive i'll be there. :-P
@summerfield - i've only gone around there during day time. and with my bad eyesight, the world i'm not familiar with is a completely different animal at night.
@summerfield i think it will be too busy during the week - and in any event, i can't face lugging my gear downtown in the morning during rush hour... not sure what i have to do this weekend, but lemme check...
