@beryl No Beryl these are the front paws. They have five toes on the front paws and four on the back but the two long middle toes on the hind legs are fused together.
@onewing Thanks - I had been looking and musing over them for a long time - I am now more amazed that even the front paws appear to be so strong ! - thanks Babs!
This reminds me of the koala paws as well- they look cute too- until you see those claws that grip the bark of the trees. No, I wouldn't want to argue with a roo either! Good shot.
@robz@onewing you definitely wouldn't mess with a big male - I had an episode many years ago with a big red male in a wildlife park - it was quite the shock
@onewing@annied Hi Babs and Annie - I had Zoe with me the last time we saw him - she wasn't in the least interested in getting any closer - she just slunk off with me! I hope the one at the wildlife park didn't do any serious damage Annie. Scary critters. :)
@robz Not so sure I would fancy a large male kangaroo too close. There were a few males here, but they were quite young, I think.
