Last Thursday we were out with the walking group, and I have only just got round to posting this photo.
Our walk started at One Mile which is where this beach is and then we walked over the bush tracks to Boat Harbour and back to One Mile over the cliffs, down the bush steps and along the beach. We then had lunch at One Mile. It was a beautiful day and a very pleasant walk.
@annied One Mile is a lovely place to walk. It is mainly a surf beach
@ludwigsdiana It was probably about a 6 or 7 km walk but very enjoyable.
@pcoulson No swimmers as it is mid week and early morning, but there were a couple of surfers and paddleboarders around just out to the right of the flags. Plus also it is winter.
@frodob It does get busy at this beach during the weekend as it is a popular surf beach but tends to be quiet during the week. Plus it is winter here at the moment so not many people around.
@happypat Shoes on for this walk along the beach as we were walking in the bush afterwards.
@clifford The flags mean swimmers are to swim between the flags as the rest of the beach is for surfers and paddleboarders etc. There are rips too on some of our beaches and the occasional shark too.
There is a surf lifesaving club at this beach that looks out for surfers and swimmers etc.
