Nostalgia

We went to a 1950's nostalgia festival at Kurri Kurri today. It was pretty difficult to take a photo of some of the people dressed up for the occasion because it was absolutely crowded.
This is the best photo I could get of the fashion of the '50's without having people wandering into the photo.
We had a good day although It was pretty hot - around 34 degrees C.
Had lunch at Kurri Kurri Bowling Club and was served with the biggest bowl of Roma pasta I have ever seen. Thank God I asked for the 'small' serve. Don't think I will eat for a week!

Smashing shot, Babs. It must have been nice to see people taking part and dressing for the occasion.

What great dresses, they looked dressed for the weather. Yesterday here in Canberra was just perfect, a lovely Autumn sunny day:)

@steampowered Thanks Paul. I was amazed how many people were dressed for the occasion. I felt underdressed in my shorts and tee shirt!

@joluise There were some brilliant dresses. I was surprised how many people dressed up. It was a bit hot though, slightly cooler today.

@winnedreamer We didn't stay too long, it got too hot, so escaped to Kurri Kurri Bowling Club and cooled down in an air con building!
