This is the cow with the crumpled horn

Not having a good day today. A bit of a sad day. I haven't taken any photos today, so thought I would put in this one which I took when we went to Oakvale Farm recently. It matches today's daily theme of dairy/cow/maid and this photo reminded me of the nursery rhyme This is the house that Jack built.

This is the cow with the crumpled horn
That tossed the dog, that worried the cat
That killed the rat, that ate the malt,
That lay in the house that Jack built.
.... and she does look quite forlorn. Nice shot!

And you are the maiden all forlorn (who milked the cow with the crumpled horn)? Take a deep breath and just know that we are all here for you Babs.

Don't think I could have come up with a photo to match the daily theme, well done and such a sweet shot too. Thinking of you Babs.

She does look a bit quite forlorn with those big brown eyes staring in to space. Look after yourself, talk soon.

Jo
I have always thought that the eyes of cows are very gentle and thoughtful, animals that wish us no harm. You have captured that look here . A fav for me:)). Hugs.

@steampowered Thanks Paul. I gues that makes David the man all tattered and torn!! Thanks for your thoughts, I will bounce back, just had a particularly bad day emotionally yesterday.

@paulaw Thanks Paula. I only came up with this for the theme because we had been to Oakvale Farm. Don't come across many cows near where we live usually. Normally it is koalas, kangaroos and dolphins!! thanks for your thoughts. Just a particularly harowing day yesterday.

@winnedreamer Thanks Nic. I think I was feeling a bit forlorn yesterday too.

@joluise Thanks for the fav Jo. I love the look in cows eyes too. I think this one was probably thinking "here we go again" as she was being milked when I took this photo.

thanks for the hug. Gratefully received. Feeling a bit brighter today. Just a very sad day yesterday.

@netkonnexion Thanks. This particular cow has been at Oakvale for a while, the last time I saw her she was very very pregnant.

@brennan1983 Perhaps its the crumpled horn and the sad eyes.

@rhos She was being milked when I took this photo, so she probably felt a lot happier once she was lighter in weight!!
