Polling Day

Today is Federal Polling Day in Australia. Going to the polling station is quite a social occasion. We came across two friends of ours with diametrically opposed views.

For the first time ever I am undecided as to who to vote for. Do I go for soppy Kev with his sulky lip, or ironman Tony in his budgie smugglers? Decisions, decisions!!!!

I had to wait in a very long queue and got quite hot waiting in the sun - The results will be interesting me thinks!! Don't you think ballot papers should have the option "none of the above"??

Even when I was queuing I still didnt know who I was going to vote for. Simon wanted to vote for the sex party!!!

@eyesmile Thanks Gena. It was a beautiful day today, about 29 degrees I believe. We went to a rodeo this afternoon with our photo club, so maybe you will be seeing some of my photos from that in the coming days!! Never been to a rodeo before, it was very dry and dusty and we came home looking like we had been rolling in the dust!!!

@iwatts @tryingforsighs I agree Ian there should be a none of the above party. We did have a sex party and a pirate party to choose from though too!!! The choice between Kevin Rudd or Tony Abbott though is hopeless, they are both as bad as each other. What a choice!!!

@angelar Our politicians are as bad as each other. They all promise great things and deliver none. You should watch Parliament Questiontime, it is so embarrassing they act like a bunch of 5 year olds!!!

We went for a lovely walk in a Nature Reserve as we don't have to vote but we did see one of our local polling stations with the queues, however there was a bbq, a cake stall and quite a few more stalls.
