Theres a bug going around

Today has been a very hot windy day. Temperature reached 36 degrees C. It has gone a bit cooler now though and is currently about 31 degrees.

I don't very often take photos of flowers but thought this one looked rather colourful. The only problem was there was a bug in it. I thought it may wander off, but no, it was here to stay, so I thought this would be my picture today. The bug is only about 3 mm long.

Thank heaven we are out for dinner tonight, a bit too hot to cook at the moment.
Great macro - good detail! Enjoy your dinner! Cold and windy with hail and rain! ....and then sunshine! Strange weather here.

Great colour and the bug is good. I cannot believe it is so hot up there. Today is 13 degrees and we have the fire lit. The kids were in the ocean yesterday!!!

Bug adds character. I saw on the news that your part of the world was getting rather hot - not good news at all for this time of the year. Cold and windy here in the south.

@gypsy6 - we have our heating on at the moment, yesterday was a lovely 25C. Spring here can be all over the place cold one moment, warm the next.

Lovely colour Babs and I love your title.

It has been in the 30's here today and also windy. The wind was hot earlier in the day and i took my first swim in the pool today. Don't normally go in until late October but it was a pleasant 21, it felt a bit cold at first but I soon warmed up.

@tillycarter Thanks Krista. Don't know what sort of bug it was. Come to think of it I can't remember what the flower is either other than yellow!!!

@gypsy6 Thanks Deb. It has gone cooler this morning. Only supposed to reach 23 today I believe and then hotting up again for the weekend.

@yaorenliu Thanks. Good job the bug was there really isn't it, it added a bit of character to the picture.
September 26th, 2013
@joluise Thanks Jo It was so hot yesterday and the wind was hot too. Luckily no bush fires to go with it. Cooled down today.

@elaine55 Thanks Elaine. It cooled down a bit last night, but was still 26 degrees when we went out for dinner. Cooler today and then hot again tomorrow I believe. It is getting like Melbourne up here these days!!!

Ha ha love the title and the pom pom bit in the middle of the flower too. Can't believe it's that hot and it's only spring!! Can't complain really though as it has been very pleasant in the South East this week.

Melbourne is not having the good weather we are at the moment.

@onewing When you come to Melbourne...do visit our end too!
September 27th, 2013
@elaine55 I know. My daughter @gypsy6 lives in Melbourne and said it was 13 degrees yesterday!!!

@savannah51 Will do. We are just preparing for our annual photo club exhibition at the moment - 12 and 13 October and then my sister will be visiting until the end of November. Hoping to get down there for Christmas though.

@paulaw Thanks Paula, I loved the 'pom pom' in the middle too, that was what I intended taking the picture of and then the bug crawled out of it.
It has gone cooler today and is only about 23 degrees. apparently will get hotter again at the weekend. Not usually up to 36 this early in spring though. We could be in for a long hot summer. Fingers crossed not too many busy fires though.

Great shot Babs - Beautiful colours and contrast with the bug. Just also to say thank you for all the support you have given me since I started. I think you were my second follower. Thank you.

@iwatts Thanks Ian. Your welcome, I really enjoy looking at your photos. We each have to support people when we can. I don't seem to see anyone having a really good year this year. Hopefully next year will be better.
