The round rainbow by onewing

The round rainbow

The last week has been a very sad time in my year, but today I look for bright things.

This rainbow windmill is in my garden and it reminded me of a quotation which Anita found while she was staying with me recently.

The rainbow does not come from anywhere, nor does it go anywhere.

Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

So this photo is for Anita. Hope you like it.

Rainbows always cheer up my day.

I think the weather in the UK is pretty chilly now so I hope it brings a little bit of sunshine to Anita's day.

The colors certainly cheered me up on this dark, cold night.

Rainbows with their beautiful colors are always so prodigious. Lovely capture and beautiful courageous words to match. I do not know what you have endured this last year, but you are certainly a shining inspiration today! .

beautiful rainbow colours! Let's hope next year looks more like this! Keep smiling! Keep positive! Keep taking photos!
Maybe we should invent a new poster: keep calm and take a photo!

sending you a big hug babs, a lovely and uplifting rainbow :)

@zenna Thanks Gayanne. I think this has been the worst year of my life. I figure that I have two choices, sink or swim and really that only leaves one choice for me. Although it is difficult, I always try to bounce back.

@angelat Thanks Angela. I think you have hit on something there. That is a good idea for a poster - Keep calm and take a photo - works for me. I have found this year that just going out and looking for something good in the world has been a Godsend for me. I hope next year will be a better year than this year for many of us. Take care.

@heidihp Thanks Heidi. One day at a time I find is the best policy.

Hang on in there Babs.... you have a good philosphy of just taking a day at a time, and nothing could hurt you as bad as this hopefully ever again. I like the positivity of the rainbow and the cheery colours.
