Lightning Tree by onewing

Lightning Tree

When my daughter's were young they loved a television programme called Follyfoot and the theme tune to it was Lightning Tree. I thought of that tune when I saw this tree. It was one I took while we were driving home from Victoria and today I decided to play about with it in Photoshop.

All day long after I took this photo I was humming the tune to myself. Here it is, hope it doesn't drive you mad too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBw27q14Hyo

Today's street art is here. http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-01-09
Aaargh! The Settlers singing "The Lightning Tree"... that's it, I am going to be humming that all day now! Nice shot.

@onewing Don't be sorry... I had a big crush on Cindy Kent, the vocalist.

Wow! You are certainly using PS well these days Babs! I have just got PS after using Elements and I am struggling with it a bit! I just need to start using it and reading a few tutorials I suppose.Love this tree, great effect and certainly lives up to its title.

Well done!!! Great effect!

@jackie8 Good luck with photoshop. You can do this in elements too, it's easy. Change the pic to b&w then go to Filter/Stylize/Solarize and there you are. Change the contrast and brightness to suit after that. It's the same in Elements and Photoshop CS.

@mcmary Thanks Mary. Not much chance of frost here at the moment. Apparently the weather forecast is for around 42 degrees C next week. Ugh.

@paulaw Thanks Paula. sorry you had the tune in your head. Drives you mad doesn't it. We were driving along the Hume Highway when I saw this and David couldn't remember the song, so I Googled it on my phone for him to listen too and that was it. Hummed it all day.

It's a FAV for me! Clever processing, it looks very cold!
January 12th, 2014
@sunraye Thanks Raye and thanks for the fav . It does look cold but would you believe it was about 40 degrees C (about 104 F) the day I took this. I guess the processing makes it look frosty.
