Northern Sphere Southern Sphere by onewing

Northern Sphere Southern Sphere

This was a crystal ball shot taken down at our local marina and the orb is sitting on one of the bollards on the boardwalk.

I got some quite funny looks from passers-by as I sat on the boardwalk with a crystal ball taking photos through it of the boats in the marina.

I thought it would be a good idea to flip the photo in Photoshop and show the boats the correct way up too.

This month in my topic album I am posting a month of black and white photos and today's photo is here. http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-05-01
I am definitely going to buy one of these toys - it looks like it could be a lot of fun and your pics are terrific.

Beautiful shot, I just love it. Good idea to flip it too. I suppose only a photographer would understand the orb. (which are awesome).

Fantastic idea to post both images! When they are upside down, I always want to see how they look right side up. Fav

@quietpurplehaze I bought mine quite some time ago on ebay. I have just googled it and came up with this one which would be similar, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/70mm-Asian-Rare-Natural-Quartz-Clear-Magic-Crystal-Healing-Ball-Sphere-Stand-Hot-/161223301936?pt=AU_RocksFossilsMinerals&hash=item2589a85b30

My crystal ball came from China and I think this would be about the cheapest with free postage. Don't know how it would apply in the UK though.
If this site is no good for you just put "clear crystal ball 70 mm" into ebay and see what you come up with.

Mine came from China and is 70 mm diameter with a clear stand. Free postage. Hope that was helpful. Good luck. We pay for anything on the Internet using Paypal.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and fav's. I really apreciate it. I am used to getting funny looks from the locals when I am taking photos so I think they are probably used to me by now. Will try and catch up soon.

@leestevo Thanks so much for the fav Lee-Ann. I was pleased the way this shot turned out even though I got some funny looks at the marina while I was taking it.

@sioux Thanks Sue. I think the locals here are used to me taking photos in odd positions by now.

@cathy366 Thanks so much for the fav Cathy. Pity you forgot to take your crystal ball out on holiday. I am sure there will be lots of opportunities to use it in Canberra though.

@ethelperry Thanks so much. They are great fun to play with.
