The Barbers Shop by onewing

The Barbers Shop

Today winter has really hit with a vengeance. It is really windy and cold.

When I saw this shop I thought it was an ideal subject for selective colouring and the greyness fitted quite well with the day.

Today's theme photo - rust

It is still very windy here and is howling, and we have a severe weather warning. An apt shot for the weather with a nice pop of red.

@angelar @happypat @leestevo Thanks so much. There are lots of ways to do selective colouring, but if the shapes are quite defined like they are here it is easy in photoshop.
Select the areas to be left in colour with the quick selection tool.
Select/Inverse
Image/adjustments/black and white
adjust the contrast etc in b&w area to suit
Then click select/deselect
and there you have it. Easy. Give it a go.

@pcoulson Thanks Peter. I took a couple of photos of this scene and one had the car reflection and one didn't I decided to use the one with the car in.

@elaine55 Thanks Elaine. Blowing a gale here too last night and we lost a couple of brances off one of our trees. Luckily we were at the photo club last night and the branches fell on the driveway while our cars were not there.
