Today we have been at one of our regular wine tasting lunches. Every couple of months a group of us have a get together. Usually about 14 or 16 friends. We each take something to contribute to the lunch, ie cheese and crackers, dips, a main course meal, rice, salad, potato salad, a dessert, etc and we also sample eight different wines, four white and four reds. Each time we have these get togethers they are held at a different person's house and today it was at our friend Roy's house.
I thought today I would post a photo of his pride and joy, his 1923 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. He has owned the car for over 30 years and is now thinking of selling it. Mind you he has been thinking of selling it for a few years, so not sure if it will ever happen. I would imagine it would be a bit like selling one of your kids.
Super image of a very special car Babs loveley lighting, focus and composition, Roy has possibly furnished just as much love and affection as he has on the Kids ( it would be worth a Kings ransom here, it would be rude to quote prices for this lady)
@jackie8 You could also have a glass of pineapple juice, a glass of apple juice, or OJ and then a nice cup of tea. ha ha. I don't always drink at our wine tasting days because I am usually driver. I only go for the food.
@lynnz You will have to start up a wine tasting lunch group then. Not difficult to organize and lots of fun. We are just a group of about 16 friends and every couple of months we have a get together, each couple or person takes along food and we have the get together at a different persons house each time. We pick maybe 3 reds and 3 whites of different prices and cover up the labels to guess which they are. All good fun.
@wordpixman Maybe he will sell it, maybe not Arthur. He has been talking of selling it for 2 years now and it hasn't happened it yet. I guess it is his wife who wants to sell it more than he does.

This wine "tasting" sounds like a good get together.
Thanks so much. I am not sure if Roy will ever get round to selling it. His wife is the one who is pushing to get rid I think. The car belonged to his brother who died many years ago and it was left to Roy.
We also have a great time at our get togethers too, so a good day yesterday all round.
