I am home for an hour or two this afternoon in between being on duty at our annual photo club exhibition. I am back again from 5 pm to 6 pm and then we have to dismantle everything and get the photos ready for the display in our local library for 6 weeks.
The exhibition has been a great success and I think we have probably got quite a few potential new members for our club.
Thanks to everyone who have commented on my photos yesterday and I will get back to you tomorrow when I can, but as you will appreciate it is a bit hectic here at the moment.
Todays photo was taken a couple of weeks ago and I had a chat to the chap who built it. Apparently it is a replica of a 1950s one man caravan and the owner built it from scratch. It has all the essential mod cons and he has travelled around Australia with his little caravan.
@jackie8@derekvickers@golftragic Thanks for asking about the exhibition, it was a great success. We had 120 photos in the main exhibition and 8 categories of photos, landscape, seascape, monochrome, altered reality/creative, flora, fauna, people and open. We then asked visitors to vote on their favourite photo in each category and they all enjoyed doing that. (We tally the votes tomorrow). We also had a section of 40 photos which were the winners photos on club night over the last 10 months. Also there was a digital display of members photos and the slide show went on for about an hour. We could each put photos in that and most entries were on a set theme per person. I chose monochrome and selective colouring, David did birds and some did a mixture of shots. We also had a raffle and the prize was a canvas print of a photo of their choice from the exhibition. A good time was had by all.
Now the exhibition goes to our local library with 40 photos shown each fortnight and rotating over the next 8 weeks.
Oh yeah...we see some of those on the road. I need to be able stand up and need a bathroom so this wouldn't work at this stage in our lives...but they certainly have some charm to them. Better then a tent!!
