Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo by onewing

Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo

This isn't the best picture in the world, but as we were walking to the car last night on our way out, we could hear this young yellow tailed black cockatoo squawking his head off in the tree while his parents were tearing shreds out of the banksia tree just next to him.

As per usual I had my camera with me and managed to get a photo of him.

Nice to see some of the rarer varieties of cockatoo. I don't think I've seen these in the wild.

Great capture. The description sounds right too with the parents shredding a tree nearby. Beautiful, but destructive. :)
