@andrewkru@flyrobin@beryl@thistle Thanks so much for the comments and favs. and for those in the UK glad to see this shot has brightened up the grey days. I well remember the greyness of winter. Luckily we don't get that here much.
@paulaw Thanks Paula. Have to admit, not been in much lately, well apart from our regular wine tasting barbeque which was at our house this time. At least I have got a freezer full of ready made meals now since my batch cook a few days ago, so even when I am in not much work is required.
@hermann@darthkitty Thanks Sally and Kat, I had to fill the bird bath up again when they had finished, they had such a good time and water was flying everywhere.
Wow Babs, what a rare sight that is.....such beautiful birds, we never see anything like this! I seem to remember reading it was you who weren't celebrating Christmas much this year.......you have been celebrating for weeks now, off out all the time!! Fave!
Truly amazing, beautiful birds! I've seen these birds before on 365 and they are so prettyl! In the US we have parakeets but not in the wild, just as pets.
@_catherine_ Thanks Catherine, they are so much fun to watch. This one was in there for ages and really swimming up and down. I think he was trying to impress his friend on how good he could swim.
@dolphin Thanks Molly, we are so lucky to get so many colourful birds in our garden. I think the most rainbow lorikeets we have had in the garden at any one time was 53. The only way I know that is because I took a photo of them and then counted how many there were. I think they were having a party.
@pcoulson Thanks Peter, the rainbow lorikeets are really the entertainers in our garden. They just love the attention they get and even land on our hand to be fed.
@happypat Ha ha thanks Pat. Yes the lead up to Christmas has been a bit hectic here party wise. We normally have a lot of social occasions though regardless of the time of year. As far as a non-Christmas is concerned, we are having a quiet Christmas here by ourselves this year. The last few years have been a bit drastic and sad as far as Christmas Day goes, so we need some time out from that day this year and probably time to recharge our energy batteries too,
We will see Deb and the grandchildren in the New Year.
@eyesmile@kwind@chimfa Wow, thanks so much for the favs. I think we tend to take these birds for granted a bit as they are such regular visitors. It was just that this one seemed to be in practice for swimming in the Olympics he was in there so long.
We will see Deb and the grandchildren in the New Year.
