@beryl No Beryl it is just a private house. I will post another shot of this house in a couple of days. This is just the decoration around their letter box, you should see the rest of the house.

@derekvickers Thanks Derek. It will get better. The last couple of years have been a bit drastic here and although we have had a fantastic run up to Christmas socially with lots of friends, we are having a 'non Christmas Day' here. Need some time to ourselves this year. Can't wait. Hope you can enjoy Christmas. Take care.
@pcoulson You are right Peter. Some people out here always try to outdo each other and go really overboard. One chap a couple of streets away from us even dresses up as Santa and sits outside his house every evening. the local children really enjoy it and I suppose he has to have a hobby.
Lovely capture Babs. there is a house not far away that is always covered in lights and has lots in the garden The children love it and they raise a lot of money for charity each year just from donations.

Bet the kids love this! We didn't get around to putting up our one string of outside lights this year which is a bit sad. They usually go around the porch with lots of Christmassy greenery and we just haven't had time! Plenty inside though to keep us going!
@paulaw The kids do love it. as I was taking the photos cars were driving by and stopping outside each house I was taking photos of. There is a competition in our local paper for the best decorated house. I think this one is in the running.
@kathiecb Thanks Kathie, living across the street from this house would be good I reckon you could save a fortune on electricity. Wouldn't need to light your house at all.
