Thank you to everyone who commented on my 'Straws" photo yesterday and for putting it on the Trending Page.

I haven't had much chance to catch up today on 365. We went to the cinema this afternoon to see The Imitation Game.

The day started off very grey but the sun finally came out about lunch time.

I just love this houseboat which is moored at the marina in Nelson Bay. It sits proudly among some very expensive boats.

I loved that film. The houseboat is a great character!

Great image in fine detail of the ugly duckling in the marina, looking at the pipework she has all the mod cons, don't think she will turn into a beautiful swan anytime soon, lol:)

Great find Babs. And I bet it is a very homely and comfortable houseboat :)

A self confident home!

I love this too. I would be more at home on something like this than an expensive yacht.

@karlow75 Me too Kane, I love this houseboat. a few months ago there was the old Dutch ship the Duyfken moored at the marina, next to that was a huge modern yacht worth probably about $3 million with its rather posh owners on board together with about 30 of their closest friends and next to that was the Zulu. I'd settle for the Zulu, ha ha.

@julzmaioro @quietpurplehaze Thank you both. I agree this houseboat has such character and the film was brilliant.

@pcoulson It may be the ugly duckling, but it is a beautiful ugly duckling, ha ha.

@darthkitty @hermann @pusspup It may look a bit like the poor relation at the marina, but I guess they must have quite a bit of money because it doesn't come cheap to moor a boat at the marina.

Nice find Babs, it must be very interesting to live on a house boat.

Wonderful! I would love to live on a boat.

Nice shot, composition

Wonderful Houseboat Babs.

Quite rustic looking

Oh a great film that......lovely houseboat...you could stand up perfectly straight in that one unlike some boats!

Looks awesome to me! Would be fun to have a peak inside! We thought about living on a houseboat once...but just not enough room for all of Charles' toys and "stuff"!! And in our climate it would be wonderful 4 maybe 5 months out the year and not so great the rest. Too much rain ...and when it's icy the docks are very slippery. Best in your climate!

It looks so cozy - and like it has good character! Great find!

Nice boat and shot

@bella_ss @creampuff @seattlite @derekvickers @tonygig @yaorenliu @salza @happypat @eyesmile @tabarlett @bkbinthecity @888rachel Thanks everyone. I would love to live on a houseboat, but I doubt I would be able to find one big enough. We collect too many toys etc at our house.

Such interesting textures in the boat's structure.

@ceilidh @terryliv @taffy Thanks. This houseboat has been moored at Nelson Bay for a few years and I think the owner lives on it permanently.
