We left Canberra this morning and have driven through three different States and Territories, the ACT, NSW, and now we are staying at Wangaratta in Victoria for the night.
We stopped off for lunch at Gundagai, well 5 miles from Gundagai to be precise, where the dog sat on the tuckerbox.
It is so dry and hot in this part of the country at the moment. Looks as though they have had a pretty dry summer.
@karlow75 I know, I've been singing it all day. Only staying overnight here in Wangaratta. Going to Geelong for a couple of days tomorrow and then on to Debs at Lilydale.
@thistle Thanks Joyce, lovely to do the trip slowly. David used to do the trip from New South Wales to Victoria once a month for 2 years once. (over 1000 km) in one day. Can't do that any more. we usually limit ourselves to 300 km a day max these days, but today we have done 400 km.
@happypat Thanks Pat. I am thankful that most of our roads are mpty. It is only in the cities where the traffic builds up. The last time I was in the UK was in 1994 and the traffic was horrendous.
