National Gallery Canberra by onewing

National Gallery Canberra

I am posting a bit early today because we have been out for lunch with friends and tonight we are out at our regular trivia night quiz. All go here today.

This is a diptych of the National Gallery in Canberra illuminated for the Enlighten Festival recently. The colours on the building change at regular intervals.
Now I can see what you meant Babs. Very impressive.

@eyesmile Thanks Gena. We had a great time in Canberra.

@annied Thanks Annie. This is one of the simplest illuminations. Most of them were much more vivid, but it still looked nice.
Are you going to Vivid? We were out for lunch today with friends and a group of them are talking about going down on a bus and spending a couple of hours at vivid and then returning home. Don't think I will be in that one though.

Like your colourful diptych and at first I was drawn to pink but then I thought the toning colours of green work well!!
March 26th, 2015
Fabulous shot. I could spend hours watching lights change like this.

Beautiful collage, Babs.
March 26th, 2015

I like the subtlety of the colours and they work well together too in your diptych. Hope you kept up your winning streak at the quiz!

Wonderful capture, love the changing colors, Babs! Nice collage!
March 26th, 2015
Are the human figures painted or projected on the wall? This is amazing. Must google the Enlighten Festival to find more about it.

I love the different colours! Very cool shots.
March 26th, 2015
Wonderful shots Babs.
March 26th, 2015
@thistle Thanks Joyce, I agree you may need a packed lunch to get here. Maybe pay Australia a visit next year.
March 26th, 2015
@quietpurplehaze Thanks Hazel, the colours and images change at intervals as the images are projected onto the building.
March 26th, 2015
When isn't it all go for you Babs haha. Greats shots of the different colours.
March 26th, 2015
@creampuff Thanks Eve. We did exactly that. There are 6 buildings in the Parliamentary triangle that have images projected on to them and it is fantastic to watch each one change.
March 26th, 2015
@paulaw Thanks Paula, we didn't win last night, came third, there were a lot of teams last night it is becoming very popular.
March 26th, 2015
@yaorenliu The images are projected and it is a fantastic festival. This is the first time we have been to it in Canberra. there is the Vivid festival in Sydney too which we have been to but I think the Canberra one is better.

@mittens @seattlite @susanalena @kwind @tonygig Thanks everyone, it is a fantastic festival.

@taffy Glad I made you smile Taffy. I am running round like a headless chicken today. Out this morning, home for a quick lunch, out this afternoon and now home for a quick shower and then we are out again for dinner tonight with friends. Tomorrow I think will be a quiet day before another hectic day on Sunday.
March 27th, 2015
Love that you've shown a couple of colours. Must be spectacular in person.
