Puffing Billy Trestle Bridge by onewing

Puffing Billy Trestle Bridge

A couple of days ago Maree @maree_sanderson posted a photo of the exact same spot as this painting. I said I would post this today just for her.

David painted this picture for one of our grandchildren, who lived near Belgrave at the time, and he is mad on trains.

This painting is now on the wall of Will's bedroom and he tells all his friends that his clever Grandad painted it.

I knew that David had taken a photo of the painting once he had completed it and so here it is. This painting was done in 2008.

If you want to check out Maree's photo here is the link.

I am posting a bit earlier today because we are out again tonight.
Magic, on all counts.

David will be pleased that you like both the photo and the painting.
This painting came about because we were passing a shop in Belgrave quite a few years ago and my daughter Debbie saw a painting of this very scene and said she would love a painting of it. Of course, David's famous last words were "I could paint that" and so he was given the task. This is the result. He also made the frame and the brass name plate too and etched the words into the brass plate too.
