Walkway by onewing

Walkway

I have photographed this walkway in Newcastle many times at various different angles and I just love how the centre of it looks like a spine.

I took this photo a couple of weeks ago when my nephew was here. I haven't got a lot of time for taking new photos at the moment because we are painting and decorating our house, so most of my photos will be a couple of weeks out of date.
yes I can see that spine. well spotted

I know that Newcastle has some very fine bridges, and have walked(sometimes with difficulty) over several of them, but this is something quite different - and much newer than my last visit, so thanks for sharing. .

@wordpixman Thanks Arthur, this walkway is at the wharf in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, not Newcastle upon Tyne.

Definitely backbone looking -- great repeating structure. I bet it would also look interesting in b&w.

It isn't easy getting a photo of this with nobody walking on it as it is a busy thoroughfare.
The painting is going well. We had to veer off a bit this morning though to go to the tip with two trailer loads of green waste. They have one free garden rubbish collections a month and we have pruned a lot of our trees lately.
I have had a play with this while I was having a cuppa this morning Taffy and I am going to post a b&w etsooi version today.

Love the lines and patterns, great capture. You must have been very patient to wait for it to be empty!
April 24th, 2016
@inthecloud5 It is a matter of timing I think. As long as the ferry isn't in you don't have to wait too long.

Very cool, of course! Lovely shot.
