Lichen

I just love the patterns of lichen on this rock in our garden.

I've had a busy day today with medical appointments so am in a bit of a rush at the moment. Will try and catch up later this evening.

Today is the winter solstice, our shortest day and also it has been the coldest so far this year. Only reached 16 degrees C.

Love the textures, been taking lots of photos of lichen this week, it makes the stone walls a lot more interesting. It's 13 degrees here today, feels almost tropical!

beautiful. We were told when we bought some moss rocks that if we put milk on it from time to time it would keep the moss and lichen. Never bothered though. Been freezing down here and pelting with rain
