Thanks so much for the great response to yesterday's photo and for putting it on the PP.
I did want to try to emphasise the vastness of the area, but in one photo I don't think I could show just how huge the area is.
This particular beach and sand dunes stretch for 32 km from Birubi Beach at Anna Bay to Stockton in Newcastle. In places the dunes are over 30 metres high and 1 km wide.
Today's Friday people picture was also taken at Birubi on the same day as yesterday's photo.
As I was walking along I came across these two people who were exercising their horses. We got chatting about photography and the lady in the picture asked if I would take a photo of them with her phone and I agreed. I then asked if I could take a photo with my camera too.
She told me that this was the first time she had taken this particular newly acquired horse to the beach and that he was raring to go. I am sure that both horse and riders will be regular visitors in future.
What beautiful horses and such a nice place to ride. Cool that they wanted pictures taken. Nice that they approached you and you didn't have to approach them. I find asking strangers is very difficult for me.
