Tangled Tree

Day 6 of A Walk in the Woods and I just loved this tangled tree.

Excellent. The texture of the bark is almost skin like in the light. I can imagine it moving around and snatching hikers up as they pass by it. But maybe that's just me 😀

@beryl There were a few trees the same. No idea what variety they are, but all very twisted.

@helenhall Thanks Helen. The bark is very smooth. I think some of the branches have come to grief in storms and new branches have made it look more twisted than normal.

The shapes and the lines of the branches seem almost artistic to me, interesting how they protrude amongst the green of the leaves.
