Sorry I am a bit absent from 365 at the moment, I have got a lot of projects on the go right now.
One project David and I have on the go is a photobook for a friend of ours.
We were at their 50th wedding anniversary party on Saturday night and took lots of photos. We are now putting the photos together in a photo book for them. We have asked them for photos of their wedding and also photos taken at various intervals over the last 50 years and they will be included in the book too. I hope they enjoy the finished product.
I took lots of photos of the mosaics at Gloucester yesterday and here is a collage of some of the pavement mosaics. I will post more over the next few days. Hope you enjoy looking at them.
I love mosaics and they really brighten up the area.
Thanks for your lovely comments and favs of yesterday's mosaic collage. so glad you enjoyed it.
oh, these are delightful, each has it's own quirkiness and lightness.. i love the composition - the arrangement of the different mosaics..
how very kind-hearted of you to do that for your friends.. i'm sure they will be delighted with it and i can imagine it becoming a family heirloom.. just think, all those eyes/minds of the future feasting, visually, on what you are putting together now. :-)
Lovely shots beautiful mosaics. Received my photo book the other day so pleased with it. I'm now creating another. I'm sure your friends will be delighted
Another wonderful collage each image full of interest and colour Babs, sounds like you have a very interesting project unfolding best of luck with it:)
@casablanca@susiemc Thanks. We have processed the photos from the party on Saturday and now David is scanning John and Elizabeth's wedding photos to add those to the photo book.
@jorlam Thanks Jorlam. John and Elizabeth didn't want any presents for their anniversary, they said that after 50 years of marriage they have all they need, but asked if we would take a couple of photos at the party. That triggered the idea of making a photo book for them. We have told them about the book and they have given us some photos of their wedding etc to be scanned and then put into the book. I am sure they will be thrilled with the end result.
Rather cute mosaics - I'm never sure whether I like mosaics or not. I've just done two photobooks - one on the circumnavigation I did with my husband, and another on my art over the years - they were a lot of work. Enjoyable work though, and I hope you enjoy doing yours.
A beautiful collection of mosaics - I particularly like the second one, where the artist has used rectangles for the background. Thank you for all the info on Mr Knibbs - so kind of you.
We all want friends like you & David Babs, sounds like you are good at putting together what we would all like but have no idea how to go about it! They will be thrilled! Love your mosaics!
Another wonderful collage featuring these beautiful mosaics! The photo book you are creating for your friends is such a thoughtful gift. I'm sure they will love the finished product. :-)
@susiemc@susiemc@bizziebeeme@littleconnie@pcoulson@paul10@jeneurell@happypat@gaylewood@leggzy Thanks. I love mosaics.
The photo book is only at the beginning stages so far. We have processed all the photos taken at the party, scanned all the photos that John and Elizabeth gave us to add to the story of the book and they are coming here on Sunday to select the final photos and decide on the size and shape of book they want etc.
I have done four photo books so far of my 365 photos and David has done one for another friend of ours.
These, and yesterday's, are remarkable. Am sure that J & E will be 'made away' with the final product and equally that you and David will be pleased that you have created an heirloom for them and future generations. BTW, my favourite is the cow.

Another cool collage too :)

I do hope we can make a wonderful heirloom for John and Elizabeth.
