As you know I don't usually post photos of flowers, but while I have been confined to home because I have felt unwell I have been trying out some macro shots of flowers in my garden.
We were given four hippeastrum plants by a friend and we split each plant in two and planted them in our garden. They have grown like wildfire and the flowers are beautiful.
Hopefully I will be able to escape the confines of home tomorrow if I feel much better to go out with our walking group to Morpeth.
Our walks usually end with lunch somewhere, so even if I don't manage to complete the whole of the walk I can enjoy a nice lunch and the company of friends.
Babs, do hope you soon feel much better. These only grow indoors here and I expect you know that there are a favourite to give somebody for Christmas when you are stuck for ideas!
I have just been catching up on your photos Babs, got a bit behind but back to normal now. Glad you are beginning to get back on track healthwise, hope you manage the walk tomorrow! Great when you can poke your camera out of the window & click for a lovely photo, like this
@quietpurplehaze I didn't know they were a favourite plant for a Christmas present. They grow like mad here. A friend of ours gave us some plants as he was moving in to a much smaller house with a tiny garden and he wanted to share some of his favourite plants with his friends. He can see them growing quite happily here now.
@happypat Thanks Pat. I did enjoy the walk, but I think I overdid it a bit as I am not feeling the best yet. It takes a lot to stop me though. I just soldier on.
Enjoy your walk and lunch tomorrow.
Morpeth (where our walk was) is inland from here and a few degrees warmer. today was 28 degrees C (82 f). Probably our warmest day so far this Spring. I will post some of the photos from the walk over the next few days when I have downloaded them from my camera.
