Back to the hospital this afternoon to have the tube removed. What a relief. If anyone tells you that a 45 cm plastic tube shoved up your nose down your esophagus into your stomach for 24 hours isn't uncomfortable they are lying. It wasn't excruciatingly painful, but just inconvenient and a bit uncomfortable. I have a bit of a sore throat now, but nothing a nice cuppa won't fix. I can now have a nice cup of tea without the inconvenience of having tubes inserted and carrying a monitor around for a day.
Here is a collage of more of the artwork along the hospital corridors. Hope I don't have to make too many more visits, I am running out of photo opportunities. Luckily some of the artwork changes from time to time so there will be a few more chances to capture new photos.
I am pleased to hear that the tube has been removed. I always felt a lot of empathy for patients when I inserted these tubes. A nicely presented collage Babs :)
Sounds like you thoroughly deserve a nice cup of tea! I'm just catching up, so glad you've had the tube removed, it sounds really uncomfortable. Your collages from the hospital art are great, it must be a lovely distraction for the patients to see the colourful artwork on the walls.
Lovely art work on the hospital walls and a great opportunity for you to create this great collage with all the photos complimenting one another ! I am sure you will be so glad to have this tubing removed today - it doesn't sound at all pleasant . That nice cup of tea will be more than welcome I am sure . I hope all this will benefit you and help to solve your medical problems ! Good luck Babs !
Glad that is done - not a fun thing to have at all. Throat always rough after one of those but plenty of tea and it will pass, as you say! Lovely shot of those images.
Eww - doesn't sound nice at all - hope its fixed some problems for you and spoken like a true Brit, nothing a cuppa won't cure :-) The art work is lovely and you've presented it so well. fav for a speedy recovery.
So pleased your tube is out Babs. I can imagine how uncomfortable it was. My husband was tube fed for a while and was constantly pulling the tube out. He was too ill to reason with but it was a difficult few weeks.
Great news to hear that the wretched tube is no more Babs, hope that is the end of that kind of test for you. I love this collage, the hospital must have some unusual artwork.
A bit late posting this as I'm trying to catch up. Hope by now you're feeling much better. I had the tube for about 15 mins years ago and that was enough! Poor you!
Hopefully I will be able to catch up on 365 this weekend.
