Tahlee House Swimming Pool by onewing

Tahlee House Swimming Pool

Following on from yesterday's collage of Tahlee House, here is a photo of the swimming pool.

Although the sun was shining it was rather chilly and not a day to go for a dip in the pool.

How wonderful to have this salt pool on the doorstep.

A wonderful pool with fresh sea-water daily on the turn of the tide

It looks very inviting, shame it was too cold for a swim.

Great spot for warmer months.

Looks like it would be a lovely place to a swim in warm weather!

Oh my, an ocean swimming pool! It looks quite large too. I’m sure this is a popular place in the summer.

I love this swimming pool, could really enjoy myself on a warm summer morning :)

Looks inviting!

It looks BIG!

It looks inviting but cold water is too reminiscent of school swimming lessons - I failed but learnt in later life!
July 22nd, 2018
Brrr not if it was -6 like here!
Looks like an easy care pool though.

Looks wonderful.

Looks tempting!

It looks most pleasant. I imagine that it will get quite busy during the summer months.

What an interesting way to build a pool.

Great shot, composition

How cool is that -- the way the pool is in the lake.
July 22nd, 2018
A lovely scene and composition

Great idea to trap the sea water like this but wondering if it gets quite choppy at times, wouldn't be swept out to see though! Looks as though it could be quite sheltered!

Beautiful scenic saltwater pool.
July 22nd, 2018
I guess this is one way to keep sharks out and still enjoy the sea.
July 22nd, 2018
It does look inviting!

I do love these enclosed pools by the sea or on lake edges. Such a brilliant idea. This looks a nice one. Apparently the sea temperature around the UK is currently 20 degrees!! Amazing. What a long heatwave we have been having and it is still continuing with another week ahead of temperatures in the 30s.
July 22nd, 2018
Gosh that looks inviting! I'd love to be able to plunge in and cool down right now
July 22nd, 2018
Great shot of the pool and the nice surounding area.

Looks like it would be a lovely spot in summer.

@happypat It is very sheltered Pat. Our bays are in a sort of horseshoe shape and if you look closely you can see the other side of the 'horseshoe' in this picture. That is our side of the bay and once you sail out of The Heads it meets the ocean proper. So inside the bay, although tidal the tide doesn't move much.

@casablanca You must be melting with temperatures in the 30s. Brits aren't used to hot weather are they.
Our sea temperature is around 17 degrees at the moment, it doesn't usually get much lower than that.

I was supposed to be going to Sydney today for surgery on my oesophagus tomorrow but it was cancelled so now I have to wait for another appointment. Hope your surgery results are okay.

@onewing I am finding it hard to function and almost impossible to sleep. Rollon Autumn please! I want some nice chill fog and frosts!!

How traumatic to have your surgery cancelled. Hope you get an alternative date soon. My consultsnt could not find a cause for my issues and biopsy results are still not back. He has referred me on to ENT for a voice box check, date not sorted yet. So the waiting continues.

It looks like they are making use of the "natural" water for this pool- very resourceful! The view is lovely too. I could see how that would be quite pleasant in warmer weather!
July 23rd, 2018
So nice
July 23rd, 2018
@onewing @casablanca Gosh, didn't realize you were both going through this...good luck to each of you on your health issues!
July 23rd, 2018
@taffy Thanks, Taffy. Your kind thpughts hugely appreciated.
July 23rd, 2018
@onewing @casablanca I do hope everything works well for both of you, and that the hospitals don't mess round with your bookings. Hard enough to get geed up for surgery without being mucked about.
July 23rd, 2018
@taffy @golftragic Thanks Taffy and Marnie. My surgery had to be postponed because the surgeon had a few emergency surgeries booked for tomorrow and as my surgery isn't life threatening I was put back. Quite right too though because I much prefer some pour soul with a serious illness be dealt with first.

I have to see the professor tomorrow at Newcastle to see if he can tell me when I will get another date.
July 23rd, 2018
I had to see this one before understanding your next shot! This would have been a rich person's swimming pool, surely! I love the thought though that this good photo leaves behind...
July 23rd, 2018
@golftragic Thanks, Marnie. Much appreciated.
@onewing Quite right that the emergencies take priority, but I still hope you get a scheduled spot soon that goes ahead. Hopefully your professor will be helpful when you see him.
July 23rd, 2018
@casablanca @onewing Oh dear to both of you, how frustrating to have your surgery cancelled, I thought that only happened here Babs! You get all revved up & want it over so to go back to waiting is not good although right that emergencies come first.
You live in a sort of limbo when you are waiting for results, can't plan anything & there is always a worry lurking at the back.
Hope you both get results soon.

Great idea for a pool, very inviting

The bare trees and stark swimming pool structure make a great combination for an interesting shot.
