Railway Station Street Art by onewing

Railway Station Street Art

It is a very windy, dusty and smoky day today. Dust storm are drifting across New South Wales and another bush fire has taken hold at Salt Ash this afternoon. I suspect that this fire, like the one a couple of months ago, has been deliberately lit. The strong winds are causing havoc for the fire fighters.

Here is a photo of street art outside the railway station in Newcastle where we caught the train to Sydney last week.

the air must be very thick and hazy your way Babs - it is not pleasant in Sydney

There are some sick poeople Bout, they suspected the moorland fires we had in the north west this summer were deliberately started, no sense in it. Very pretty street art. Babs!

That's a lovely street art. The people who paint these are real artists as it can't be very easy to paint such a large image.

Update on the bushfire, it is still out of control and the road down to the bay and Lemon Tree Passage are closed. There are really strong winds at the moment that are really hampering the situation. They are apparently water bombing the area around Campvale and Salt Ash but the state of the fire is still at Emergency level. We are in no danger because the fire is about 20 km from where I live, but you can see the smoke from here.

Nicely painted and nicely captured. I just don't understand the insanity that causes a person to think that setting fires is fun.
