I am going to be absent for a couple of days now because I am not feeling too good. I have coughed and coughed all night and today I have quite a high temperature. I rarely feel sick like this but today I feel as though I have died and they have dug me up again.
On Saturday I wandered down to the beach to take photos of the mangroves, so at least I have a few photos in hand to post over the next couple of days, but I won't be commenting on your photos until I feel better.
I have spent most of the day asleep and I am back off to bed now. Hopefully I will feel better soon.
Sleep is the best medicine! The cough might be reduced by aspirin and honey crushed together? I think its good that we can say how we really feel on this site!
Sorry to learn of your illness, but it does seem to be a common cold which has hit you a bit hard. Hope you will be fine very soon. I agree with Dianne about drinking water with some lemon. Love this image - the mangrove looks like it is standing on its roots outside of the ground.
really lovely scene at the Mangroves. So sorry you are unwell - stay right clear of anything unnecessary until you are back and well again. We will still be here.
Oh dear Babs so sorry you are sick, take care my friend & stay warm in bed sleeping unti you feel better, can’t be ill for Christmas as I’m sure you have lots planned! This is a fave for me, love the wonderful twists of those branches against the blue!
Just across the road from where this photo was taken is bushland and last night there was a bushfire there. It is pretty close to our house so everywhere is very smoky at the moment. That isn't helping my cough. Our cars were outside on the driveway last night and they are both covered in ash today. I suspect the fire was deliberately lit because it rained a bit last night and it hasn't been hot enough for a fire to start on its own.
Not able to check out your photos at the moment because just looking at the bright computer screen is hurting my eyes and making my headache worse.
Get well soon, lovely lady. Rest up well and we will all still be here when you're better. Lots of love x
The mangroves look very interesting to me as we have nothing like that around here. Good shot!
