Australia Day

Late posting tonight because we have been at the theatre this afternoon with friends in Newcastle and out for dinner this evening.

It is Australia Day today and this photo was taken at Fly Point.

Far too hot to sit outside for long today and the temperature reached 41 degrees in Newcastle by lunch time.

Much nicer to sit in an air conditioned car, air conditioned theatre and air conditioned restaurant for most of the day.

It is 8.30 pm now and still 29 degrees C. I think we are in for a rather warm, humid night.

Sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this time last year I was in Monkey mia, WA, eating a BBQ, lamingtons and waving the flag with very patriotic Ozzies. Sigh again :(
