It has been another beautiful day today, so warm for winter.
We had an early start today because David had a medical appointment in Newcastle. He had to see a specialist to see what is to be done about the DVT he had a couple of years ago as one vein still hasn't cleared completely. He has to stop his medication and go back again in 4 weeks.
After the appointment we had a lovely lunch in Newcastle and then did a bit of retail therapy. Always good to end medical appointment days with a fun afternoon.
This photo was taken a couple of evenings ago. Not bad weather for winter is it.
I can’t believe this shot hasn’t got more faves...I love it, the late evening Sun & the line of paddlers following the same line of posts...big fave for me Babs!
@maggiemae@fishers@joysabin Thanks. David got a DVT a couple of years ago and God knows how it happened, he has plenty of exercise, he hadn't been in a plane recently but he still got two blocked veins in his leg. One vein had cleared but the other still had problems and he has been on blood thinners ever since. The specialist said that it probably isn't at risk of a piece of the clot breaking off now and has stopped his medication for a month to see what happens. He has to go back in 4 weeks to see where he goes from there.
@carole_sandford The water is always calm on this side of the bay, it is sheltered but once outside the heads on the other side of the bay the ocean gets quite rough.
@nicolecampbell The water temperature is still 21 degrees C at the moment I believe.
Medical care is so good now with DVT!
