A few days ago while I was taking photos I saw about 8 blokes riding their motor bikes on the beach. As they started to leave the beach, they drove past me into the soft sand you see here in this shot.
The chap in front had just driven through the sand and his bike fell over. After he had picked up his bike and driven off again this chap tried to ride his bike through the same sand. I was ready for this one as you can see from this photo and sure enough he fell over too. I was so pleased I got the photo mid fall.
Each of the riders drove through the same spot and all but one didn't make it on their first attempt. The only one who did manage to stay upright stalled his bike though as he went through.
No bikes or riders were injured in this photo. The only thing injured I suspect were a few egos because I watched each of them come a cropper.
@dide At least one of the managed to get through without falling off.
@happysnaps ha ha, I don't think so, I was very discreet.
@pcoulson It is hard enough even walking on this soft sand never mind on a motor bike.
@sangwann@ludwigsdiana ha ha I was trying to pretend I was taking photos of the beach and the dunes, but I don't think I convinced them.
@pusspup I'll believe you, it is difficult enough just walking on this sand. Why they attempted it on bikes I don't know. I suppose they just needed a close exit from the beach and unfortunately, this was the closest.
@flowerfairyann Ha ha, I did chuckle a little bit, especially when it came to about the fifth person to fall off his bike. I was quite contained at this point though because this chap was only the second one to attempt the soft sand.
@lesip I think it was a bloke thing. Each one thought they could stay upright and they were trying to do better than the one in front. Unfortunately, none of them achieved a perfect ride through the soft sand.
@golftragic Have to admit I had a little chuckle myself too.

You never know what you are going to find when you walk along the beach. Glad nobody was injured though, just egos.
Great action shot and great timing!
