Walka Water Works

Thanks so much for putting yesterday's The Jetty on the TP and PP

A very quick post tonight because we have been out all day for a picnic at Walka Water Works with friends and now we are just about to go out for dinner.

It has been a beautiful day as you can see from the blue sky.

Seems that in times gone by, buildings that had a mundane use were built to look far grander than you would expect! It is pleasing to the eye though.

We had a lovely day and the weather was perfect.

I just love the brickwork of the buildings in this area of Maitland and its surrounds, you don't see buildings like this any more.

@angelar Thanks Angela. I haven't posted the water works on 365 before as we haven't been here for years until yesterday. Just decided on a day out with friends. The brickwork is very similar to that at Tocal so maybe that is where you are thinking of.
