I have just taken Elizabeth back to Regis. She seems to have had a lovely afternoon and enjoyed the movie. There were a few of our friends also at the movie so we all went for a cuppa afterwards at a café and Elizabeth enjoyed that.

I have noticed that her memory is getting slightly worse, but she is still there in the moment and also a very jolly person.

As I was driving along the waterfront on my way home I stopped to take a photo. I quite liked the layers on the water. The dark area is where the seagrass is growing under the water. We have had quite a few black swans here lately as they graze on the seagrass. None there this evening though.
I like the way you have expressed your day - human and sympathetic! This looks a bit windy and has great contrasts of colours!

@maggiemae it has been a very hot day today and yes the wind has whipped up this evening. Still quite warm though

I am sure she very much appreciates the company. I'll borrow one of these and sail over to see the Teenager, eh? Moor up next to him and tell him I am stalking him!!!

Both my mother and husband had dementia and now my son-in-law. So I know how horrible it is. And runs differently in everyone. So good of you to spend time with her as so many people just turn their backs.

Beautiful capture and well-spotted. Seems that dementia is on the increase all over the world and it is not restricted to old age people. Very sorry for these people and even more for relatives who care and\or visit them, sometimes not even recognised by the patients.

I love the color changes- does the temperature of the water change with the vegetation? It looks cooler from the color. Nice shot!

Peaceful. Black Swans?? That I'd like to see!
October 18th, 2019
@glimpses All the swans in Australia are black Leslie. Here is a post of them in the ocean just by where I took this photo.

@koalagardens @haskar @pcoulson @happysnaps @bristol_colin @beryl @ludwigsdiana @louannwarren @pusspup @peadar @pdulis @pattyblue @lyndamcg @mittens @photographycrazy @tonygig @gijsje @craftymeg @mave @seattlite @pyrrhula @kwind Thanks. I just loved the difference in the colour of the water. Seagrass is quite dense in this area, hence the change in colour. You can see a couple of dark areas in the lighter part of the water too and that is where seagrass has broken off.

@julzmaioro @casablanca @dide @joansmor @sangwann @sdutoit @fishers @happypat Thanks. Elizabeth does enjoy our outings and I always try to make her laugh. I have noticed that her memory is getting worse lately and when I visited her a few days ago she was very vague. Yesterday though she was quite sharp and laughed a lot which is always good. I keep the conversations simple and she copes quite well.

@olivetreeann Not sure if the temperature of the water changes in the areas of the seagrass but the water temperature generally at the moment is around 20 degrees c (68 f).
